François van den Bosch

François van den Bosch has more than 30 years of experience in international corporate and investment banking.

After getting graduate with a degree (license) in Economics and Finance from ICHEC Brussels, he started his carrier as a consultant, specialised in export business development with Africa. He then joined BNP Paribas (BNPP) Bank .

Within BNPP’s large corporate group, François was responsible for the worldwide relationship with some strategic clients in the oil, chemical and consumer goods sectors. His ability to manage client relationship within a matrix organization was a key factor to success.

As Chief Financial Officer for the Asian region, he managed the budget and control process as well as various functions (HR, IT, ...) for 11 BNPP branches within the Asian region.

After getting an experience in corporate banking in Hong Kong and in India, François became CEO for BNP Paribas in Thailand and then Ireland .He was also Director of 10 subsidiaries in that later country.

He was advisor to the French foreign trade commissioner for several years. In the same capacity he is now advising UWE (Union Wallonne des Entreprises ).

He also holds a number of Directorship positions .

As a fine skilled negotiator, François can advise CEOs in a context of crisis situation with shareholders, commercial partners, financial institutions, regulatory authorities …

From his banking experience, François can assist corporates in their (international) development. He has developed a real capacity to identify the differents risks existing within corporate companies. He attached to each strategy and can help to categorize those risks and to limit their outbreakeffects.

He has a perfect understanding of the matrix organisation (client versus products) and can therefore assist CEOs to implement it or improve its functionning operation in their efficiency within the existing organisation.

In southern Europe, Africa, India and all Asia where he got gained a working and living experience, François understands the specificity of each cultural environment.

François is also prepared to take interim management positions.
